2015 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant

The Wilkes County Sheriff’s Office is making application for funding under the 2015 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant through the U.S. Department of Justice.  The funding requested will purchase body armor (bullet proof vests) to ensure the safety of Wilkes County Deputies.  Should any citizen wish to comment on the use of these funds, please contact Sheriff Chris Shew at (336) 903-7600.
